Between fall 2007 and spring 2009, CCA underwent periodic re-accreditation review by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), our regional accreditation body and primary accreditor. The process was successful and very fruitful, inspiring important college-wide conversations. The WASC review team commended improvements in areas such as faculty growth and development, the implementation of student learning and program assessment structures, significant expansion of our physical and fiscal resources, the strengthening of faculty governance and communication, and the continued attention to recruitment and retention. The reports and commission letters are available below, and the next WASC review will be in spring 2016.
