Writing a Syllabus

CCA faculty are required to produce a syllabus for each course taught. A syllabus should reflect the instructor's:

• course plan
• learning outcomes
• goals & assignments
• requirements

Early in the semester, the Academic Affairs Office will request instructors turn in a copy of their syllabus for our files. Instructors may format their syllabus according to personal preference, yet the following syllabus template might be helpful.
