About the Provost & Associate Provost
Division of Responsibilities
As we develop and refine the new organizational structure in Academic Affairs launched in fall 2008, it is useful to delineate the different areas of responsibility between the provost and the associate provost.
Although the two positions work closely and confer on all issues, the following key words lists differentiate responsibilities, allowing questions and issues to be directed to the appropriate person. Departments in parentheses identify lines of communication between Academic Affairs and other key areas of college administration.
