Crisis Communication Plan

CCA's administration is committed to ensuring a safe, healthful campus environment for all members of the college's community—students, faculty, staff, alumni, and trustees—as well as for visitors to the college.

However, despite all efforts a crisis can occur (e.g., fire, earthquake, injury, death, protest, controversy) that could attract members of the media who seek information.

Crisis communication relates to all emergencies for which the press and public seek to obtain knowledge about the situation. At such a time, the college’s goal is to manage the release of information effectively to ensure that a fair and accurate account is communicated to the public, the press, and the CCA community. It is essential care be taken to uphold complete integrity, sound credibility, and the high reputation of the college and all its community members.

The college has developed a Crisis Communication Plan to ensure all faculty and staff is prepared in the event of a crisis at either of CCA's campuses.
