As more and more students and faculty take on Facebook as a way to participate in the CCA landscape, please remember to follow the following Facebook guidelines when creating types of pages:

  • Pages are for official CCA program use only; such pages should be managed by designated CCA staff and/or faculty. Please send the URL to facebook@cca.edu in order to add your program as a favorite on the official CCA Page and promote your Page to attract fans. We will also add a logo and promotional block to the program page on the website in order to drive traffic. Keep content fresh and updated on a regular basis.

  • Students who wish to create a Facebook Page that denotes CCA or a specific CCA major should set it up as a community page. (These are a good place for shared discussions and/or for creating a specific topic for students, alumni, friends, etc.)

  • Community pages should be clearly identifiable as not having an official CCA endorsement (e.g., "Students & Alumni of CCA's Glass Program" or "Writers at CCA" or "CCA Fine Arts Students")

  • Always check first with the instructor or program manager (or coordinator) of your program if you have questions about starting a Facebook Page.

  • Avoid any language that either states or implies Facebook's endorsement of CCA: "Facebook's CCA page." Instead, always name your page first and identify Facebook second: "Check out the Writers at CCA group on Facebook" or "Visit CCA's Fashion Design Page on Facebook."

General rule of thumb: Name your page first, then indicate Facebook as its host.
