New Web Projects

Each new proposal for web content (a page, several pages, or a cluster of related pages) should have a clearly articulated goal and a detailed list of requirements.

With the goal and project requirements in hand, you may either contact the web director directly or request a web project be added to the web team's production schedule by completing and submitting the online Web Project Request form.

How to start your project:

  • Submit your project request
  • Meet to discuss project
  • Evaluate budget opportunities and constraints (e.g., will contract design or development work be necessary? What level of editing will the content require?)
  • Discuss content-generation needs
  • Identify page flow and content structure
  • Submit meta-data for all relevant pages (what's this?)
  • Determine and sign off on project scope
  • Commit to milestones on the production schedule
  • Delegate resources to deploy the project
