Vinitha J. Watson is an artist, design consultant, and advisor to small businesses and nonprofits. In 2007 she cofounded the Zoo Studios, a music incubator located in west Oakland, and she is currently its CEO. In 2005 she founded Kaaya Inc., which focused on selling environmentally friendly home decor, and today she is the principal and strategy consultant for \/\/\/, which provides strategic growth planning and innovation to nonprofits in the public health sector. She is a board member of I-Mak (Initiatives for Medicines Access and Knowledge). Her artwork involves building dioramas and wire sculptures that inspire her photography and systems thinking. She was a member of the first cohort in CCA’s MBA in Design Strategy program, graduating in 2010. She also holds two bachelor’s degrees, in sociology and communications, from UC Santa Barbara.
