The first of its kind in the United States, TI's Arts Learning Specialist Certificate provides a meaningful opportunity for pre-K through 12th grade educators and teaching artists to advance professionally. Participants seeking this milestone can qualify by completing 12 units of TI coursework; CEUs are available but not required. A model for contemporary arts education excellence nationwide, this certificate program was developed in partnership with the Alameda County Office of Education.
"This certificate recognizes that TI graduates have the knowledge to leverage learning through integrated projects—to cement the connection between arts learning and learning in history, science, math, and other content areas. It is an assurance of their qualifications for building sequential, standards-based, interdisciplinary coursework in the public school system. TI-based teaching prepares young students for the 21st-century future in which they will work and live."
—Louise Music, Alameda County Office of Education
