OAK OAK 2116
Instructor: Dafney Blanca Dabach
Sun., 10 a.m.–4 p.m. (lunch break: noon–1 p.m.), March 16
1 session. $110. CEU: .5 available through Cal State East Bay. Prerequisites: none
In this workshop participants learn a technique that can be used in the classroom to encourage students to explore perspectives different from their own. This technique, which uses an exercise in which students work with visual imagery to narrate "a day in the life" of something or someone other than themselves, develops holistic and cross-disciplinary thinking. Participants leave with a list of interdisciplinary lesson ideas applicable to a variety of grade levels and subject areas.
