Joseph Marshall

Joseph Marshall has been an associate partner and senior designer in the San Francisco office of Chong Partners Architecture for more than seven years, and he has more than 17 years of experience in professional practice. He is involved with design team management, client interaction, coordination with consultants, technical execution of projects through the design and documentation process, and construction administration.

Joseph was the designer and project architect for the Rumsey Community and Wellness Center and the Yocha-De-He Preparatory School (both in Brooks, California), which won national and local design awards.

Prior to joining Chong Partners Architecture, he was a lead designer at Patri Merker Architects in San Francisco, where he handled the public entitlement process for a sustainable 10-acre recycling and teaching facility in South San Francisco. He also worked at Architecture Studio in Paris.

Joseph's interests include mentoring and education in the field of architecture. For several years he has given his time to the ACE mentorship program, a national organization that helps high school students interested in careers in architecture, engineering, and building construction. He regularly serves as a studio critic in classes at UC Berkeley, City College of San Francisco, and Virginia Tech.
