ARCHT100 Introduction to Architecture Introduction to Architecture is a 3-credit studio laboratory course, which explores what makes architecture a compelling field of study and how it intersects with other creative explorations. Leading faculty from the architecture program serve as guest lecturers, framing the architectural issues of body, space, landscape and city to be explored in studio exercises. The course combines these design problems with field research to significant Bay Area buildings and architectural practices. The goal of the course is to introduce students to the breadth of an architect's field of vision. This course fulfills studio elective requirement, has no pre-requisite or co-requisite and is open to all students, regardless of program or level. |
