California College of the Arts
COURSE DESCRIPTION

DIVSM300 Monkeys, Men & Great Edifices

The seminar will highlight racial techniques legitimizing modern historicity, philosophy and architectural theory. It will employ the use of "tropological" case studies where texts interconnect through the repetition and revision of various signs, symbols and signifiers. This method allows participants in the seminar to develop principled techniques in the analysis of those architectural texts using veiled philosophical/linguistic structures founded upon racially determined subjects and subject matter.
