DIVST300 M:Community Desgn & Architect
This course investigates meanings and methods for designing intercultural architecture. Design projects will be based on cross-cultural reading and class discussions. Literature will include ethnographic research, discourse on otherness, and transformative pedagogy in architectural education. Students will design projects in collaboration with ethnic communities and development organizations. Projects will include a main street facade revitalization and a co-housing development. |
