FASHN308 Fash Illus 3: Adv Portfolio

This class is for senior students in the Fashion Design Major that have completed prerequisite drawing , design and studio courses. Fashion Illustration 4 will focus executing and presenting portfolio level fashion design illustrations. The course will build on the skills developed in Fashion Illustration 1 & 2 & 3 and Fashion design 1 through 4. Instruction will include an emphasis on use of composition, color and technique using, gouache, pen and ink, and markers. The students will be exposed to the work of master fashion illustrators including, Antonio Lopez, Tony Viramontes, and Rene Gruau and will be encouraged to find their own illustration style that best compliments their design aesthetic. Exit criteria will be a portfolio consisting of the student's originally illustrated collection of their five groups of their own designs. Portfolio presentation will take place during the Spring semester, after successful completion of the course.
