FINAR604 GE: Capp Street Since it was founded in 1983 Capp Street Project has given more than 100 artists the opportunity to create a new installation work over a ten-week residency period in San Francisco. Starting in the fall semester 2008, students will have the opportunity to work on a research project devised by the Capp Street artist. Expanding the research-base to the residency in line with CCA's curriculum, this course will enable artists together with students to explore the conceptual underpinnings of their practice and will function as a unique test-site for artistic research and art making. The final Capp Street Project artist for both the Fall Semester 2008 and the Spring Semester 2009, with exact details of their course, will be made available in May 2008 |
