This course builds on the technical skills introduced in previous study. Assignments are varied with an emphasis on conceptual problem solving and communication. Editorial content, mood, emotional impact, and clarity are among the areas explored. In-class work sessions and demonstrations will help further develop drawing, painting and design skills. During slide lectures, students will be exposed to images from a variety of artistic disciplines and are encouraged to cultivate a visual vocabulary that can help shape their own personal and unique style.
