COURSE DESCRIPTION

ILLUS404 Illustration 6: Thesis

This is the final course in the required series for Illustration majors. The primary goal is for each student to build a series of twelve to fifteen pieces on a topic of importance to that person. The result will be at once a personal statement and a unified portfolio demonstrating the very best the student has to offer at the time of graduation. Included during the course will be extensive discussions about promotion, business practices and ethics, and the changing nature of freelance illustration. The final presentations will be reviewed by guest art directors, designers and illustrators.
