INDUS104 Design Communication 1 The goal of this course is to understand and execute the delineation of three-dimensional forms in two-dimensional space. Focusing initially on primitive shapes, students will learn perspective and how it is applied to precision drawing, sketching, and hand rendering. Through a series of exercises, students will learn the fundamentals of line weight, lettering, page layout, verbal presentation, and a high degree of craft throughout. The first half of the semester emphasizes basic fundamentals while the second half uses these skills to understand process and rapid visualization. There are weekly demonstrations of technique and sketching during the semester. |
