COURSE DESCRIPTION

INDUS300 Industrial Design 3
Corequisite: New Product Development, Materials and Manufacturing Processes 2

In the third level studio, ID3, students develop a sense of the relationship of the object with the human body: OBJECT TO PERSON. Students continue to learn about the process of design through object-oriented projects. Human factors, ergonomics observation, need-finding, team-based research and design, and interaction with users/consumers are a key part of all projects at this level. Through iterative design the student will learn more advanced approaches and methods for understanding the language of design.
