The following Saturday the tour visits the burgeoning alternative gallery scene in downtown Oakland and continues to other East Bay gallery spaces. Discussion will focus on styles and issues in contemporary art, as well as the role of different venues and audiences in the global contemporary art scene.

Participants are responsible for museum admission fees. Registrants will receive a schedule and map. Participants also are responsible for transportation to and from the various locations.
