From simple objects moving in space, to the complex figures of feature films, Stop Motion animation is one of the oldest, most versatile and exciting forms of animation still in use today.

In this course, students gain the necessary skills needed to bring objects to life through the use of stop-motion animation.

Students practice animating puppets and objects in a series of exercises that enhance knowledge and understanding of animation fundamentals, including walk cycles, emotions, timing, weight, and balance.

This course also covers basic editing principals; all students edit their class exercises into a final animation show reel. No prior film or animation knowledge is necessary.
