Opportunities to sell handmade work continue to expand in the Bay Area. Learn about some of the emerging avenues for online sales and marketing, such as Etsy, blogging, and online networking, as well as selling your work at area craft fairs and retail stores.

This workshop provides an overview of successful sales and marketing methods and insider tips for planning a profitable and rewarding business from your crafts.

Jamie is a science educator and fiber artist who is native to the San Francisco Bay Area. She produces her own line of fiber art and craft kits, teaches craft workshops to local youth, coorganizes the Bazaar Bizarre Craft Fairs (San Francisco, Bay Area Maker Faire, and Austin Maker Faire), is a former editor of Indie Craft’s CraftGossip blog, and a founding member of the San Francisco Craft Mafia. Her web shop, Mary Jane's Attic, offers handmade yarn, fiber art supplies, and instruction. Jamie recently opened a brick-and-mortar shop called Urban Fauna Studio.
