An inspiring and expressive art form as well as a practical and durable surface embellishment, mosaic is a technically and historically rich medium. Guided by professional mosaicist Pippa Murray, this workshop is designed for students of all levels of experience.
Following a presentation highlighting the construction and significance of historical and contemporary mosaics, students design and make personal mosaics, enabled by a practical overview of various mosaic-making materials and techniques.
The class structure allows for individual instruction and student driven inquiry, making this an ideal place to work out issues for larger projects.
All materials and tools are provided, however, students are welcome to bring their own materials and tools.
