Brian Price
Brian Price is co-founder with Jonathan Lott of PARA-Project. Based in New York and San Francisco, PARA-Project is an award-winning design practice that participates in a diverse range of work including built and speculative architecture, publications, and conferences. PARA was a finalist in the 2009 MoMA/P.S.1 Young Architects Program and winner of the prestigious Architecture League of New York’s Young Architects Forum Award in 2007. They received a Graham Foundation Grant for the international symposium “Para-Thesis” held at Columbia University’s GSAPP in 2006.
Price has taught design studios at Yale University, UC Berkeley, the California College of the Arts, the Boston Architecture Center, and Barnard-Columbia College where he was named the Emergent Architect in 2008. He is a fellow of the Académie d’Architecture of France and has been an invited juror at Harvard, Columbia, Yale, and Pratt. He holds the Master of Architecture with Distinction from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.
Prior to co-founding PARA-Project, Price was a senior associate at SHoP architects where he led the design and development of Google’s new World Headquarters as well as the design of numerous award winning projects with Preston Scott Cohen, and William Massie.
