Carol Manahan is an interdisciplinary scholar in green studies who draws on the fields of environmental and agricultural ethics, religious studies, art, and geography.
Carol's current research interests include the connections among experience of nature, ethical reflection, and environmental action; the ethics of genetic engineering in agriculture; and art, environment, and evolution.
Carol teaches courses in Critical Studies, including science and math courses such as Natural History of the San Francisco Bay Area, Sustainable Food, Color and Perception, and Symmetry in Nature and Design, as well as a methods seminar in environmental ethics.
