Hanne Behrend is teaching a new course, Advanced Knitwear Design at CCA, after over ten years at the Academy of Art University, where she was the Knitwear Design Coordinator for the BFA and MFA programs.
She began her career as a knitwear designer while still a student at Parsons School of Design in New York. Her professional experience includes designing men’s and women’s knitwear for a variety of companies in the US and Denmark, as well as creating her own line of knitwear which was sold at Wilkes Bashford in San Francisco.
Hanne continues to do freelance work and enjoys designing and making knitwear in her studio.
