Mr. Martinez holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a degree in environmental design from Texas A&M University. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Mr. Martinez has worked with several architecture firms in Washington DC and in San Francisco on a range of sustainable multi-family housing, hospitality, civic, institutional and office building projects. Mr. Martinez has taught classes at the University of California, Berkeley in building science and sustainability, and has worked as a student researcher with the Center for the Built Environment. As a lecturer at California College of the Arts, Mr. Martinez teaches courses in building energy systems and daylighting in architecture. As an associate with Loisos + Ubbelohde, Mr. Martinez works in all phases of the design process. He is a recognized expert in daylighting design and analysis using Radiance, a research grade ray tracing software that accurately models the qualitative and quantitative effects of light in architecture.
