Shanthi Sekaran joined the CCA Writing faculty in Fall 2010. Her first novel, The Prayer Room (MacAdam/Cage) was released in 2009, and she has also published stories in Best New American Voices, The Chattahoochee Review and Fourteen Hills: The SFSU Review. She earned her B.A. from UC Berkeley, her MFA in Creative Writing from Johns Hopkins University, and is currently completing a Creative Writing PhD from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne (UK).
