Tana Johnson

Tana Johnson has been an active participant in the Bay Area´s arts education community since 1994. Her expertise lies in curriculum design, media development, and filmmaking. Her short experimental films and documentaries have screened at film festivals both locally and abroad. Before coming to CCA she worked at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art where she led a team of writers and designers to create award-winning interactive features. She directed and produced many artist videos and SFMOMA Artcasts, the Museum´s cutting-edge podcast series. Johnson also oversaw the design and development of the curriculum site, SFMOMA ArtThink. Johnson was video artist in residence at several San Francisco schools while she managed Southern Exposure's Artists in Education Program in San Francisco's Mission District. She earned an MA in Arts Education with high distinction from San Francisco State University in 1995.
