Students in Action
CCA's Fashion Design students have a wide range of production opportunities -- working on their own projects and collaborating on student projects in the field as well as within the Fashion Design facilities.
"James" -- A Short Documentary About a Far-Reaching Fashion Designer
Film Program students Lina Vezzani-Katano, Erik Lee, Fred Kolouch, and Yeni Che took first place for this short documentary about James Zormeir, an industrious Fashion Design student whose approach to fashion design is as bold and innovative as anything you'll see on today's runways!.
"GEOMETRIC THREADS: Moving Between Dimensions"
On-location opportunities, such as visiting the Exploratorium in San Francisco, allow students to engage in creative processes outside the classroom.
Amy Williams, chair of the Fashion Design Program, encourages the creative spirit of her students through the creation of opulent gowns -- made in a single day using just pattern-making tissue and tape. The result is not only an education for students but also a playful and performative experience in the process of fashion creation..
