FASHN224 Intro to Knitwear
SPRING 2011

A student centered studio class focused on making through knitting. Instruction from basic knitting techniques, adept use of tools, appropriate yarn selection and machine maintenance, to advanced knitting techniques, including calculations for building knitted garments. Class time is structured around demonstrations, with hands on lab time and one on one machine instruction. Illustration for knitwear, rendering knit stitches, and professional presentation of swatches will also be covered. Lab time is available between classes. This class is open to all disciplines and all are encouraged.
