Fashion Illustration 3
Senior level Fashion majors who have completed prerequisite drawing, design and studio courses participate in this final illustration course. Fashion Illustration 3's goal is the execution and completion of a professional level exit portfolio of illustration fashion collections and tech work. This course builds on the skills developed in Fashion Illustration 1 - 2 and Fashion Design 1- 4. Instruction emphasis is on presentation, composition, color and rendering techniques. The students will be exposed to the work of master fashion illustrators including, Antonio Lopez, Tony Viramontes, and Rene Gruau and will be expected to find their own illustration style that best compliments their design aesthetic. Exit criteria will be based on a portfolio consisting of the student's originally illustrated collections along with a tech package and a designer information package. Participation in the Spring Portfolio Review with a completed portfolio is one of the final professional practice steps for the fashion design senior.
