Media Studios
CCA’s Film Program is based on the San Francisco campus where students and faculty can access specific facilities that collectively comprise the Media Studios.
Carmen M. Christensen Production Stage: a 2,100-square-foot black box space that features a permanent audio visual system and a resilient stage floor
Audio editing suite: newly added and designed for high-end digital audio recording and includes a control room and recording booth
Video editing suites (3): newly added and designed for high-end digital film editing
Lab 130: a digital video and audio postproduction classroom, featuring 18 workstations, including a teaching station
Studio 131: the primary Film classroom, featuring high-definition projection equipment and stereo speakers
In addition to the above facilities, students have access to dedicated roving equipment including HDV, 16- and 8-mm film cameras; two 16-mm projectors; lighting and gel kits; dollies, tripods and an LCD field monitor for field recordings; and solid-state audio recorders, field mixers, and a variety of mics for audio recording.
Roving equipment may be checked out at the Film equipment cage, located in the Media Center on the San Francisco campus. Be sure to review all of the studio resources (aka shops) on the San Francisco campus.
