Digital media and communication technology shape our experiences and perceptions of time, ourselves, and the larger world.

The 4D Core Studio courses put emphasis on collaborative work in which students investigate how interactive media, storytelling, and social connections increasingly determine our public and private identities in fractured and perplexing ways.

What we hear, see, read, and feel are locations for narrative inquiry, and 4D courses provoke learners to unearth the seemingly endless array of possibilities in these digital mediums.

By interfacing with a variety of imaging, audio, and communication applications and integrating them into team-based projects where time management, distribution of duties, and healthful working habits are essential, students explore how stories, images, and time-based actions frame our lives and provide meaning in a digital age.
