Winning entry of an invited competition for Lick-Wilmerding, an independent high school located along Interstate 280 at the southern edge of San Francisco. The scheme maintains the open view to the East while creating a central focus to the Lick Wilmerding campus. Program elements include the insertion of the new Technology and Design Center into the heart of the school's existing field, an expansion of an existing theater to 500 seat capacity and the relocation of a student center and cafeteria. Sustainable elements of the design include a geothermal cooling loop and photovoltaic and wind generated power elements.
