Leigh Markopoulos

Leigh Markopoulos is the Director of Rena Bransten Gallery, San Francisco, where she manages the program and a roster of around 30 contemporary national and international artists.

Formerly Deputy Director of the CCA Wattis Institute, and Exhibition Organizer at the Serpentine Gallery, London, she has organized over 50 exhibitions ranging from solo shows of Richard Artschwager, Dan Flavin, and Brice Marden to major group exhibitions such as Monuments for the USA and IRREDUCIBLE: Contemporary Short Form Video. She has also worked on many freelance editorial projects, including Paul Klee at the Hayward Gallery and the forthcoming catalog raisonné of the artist Bridget Riley.
