Ethan Watters

Ethan Watters is the author of Urban Tribes: Are Friends The New Family? (Bloomsbury). He is the coauthor with Richard Ofshe of two books: Therapy's Delusions: The Myth of the Unconscious and the Exploitation of the Walking Worried (Scribners) and Making Monsters: False Memory, Psychotherapy, and Sexual Hysteria (Scribners).

He is cofounder of San Francisco's Writers' Grotto, and his work has appeared in GQ, Esquire, New York Times Magazine, Spin, Details, and elsewhere.
