Carol Elkovich

In her recent work Carol Elkovich examines the peculiar oxymoron of globalization in that the effect both reinforces and dissolves boundaries. Merging painting with sculpture, her primary media are wood and acrylic. Her work is included in numerous private and corporate collections throughout the United States.

A recent recipient of a CCA Faculty Development Grant, Carol developed a podcast in which discussion with working artists revolves around thematic issues. The recordings can be found at www.artunderground.net. She also has participated in the Vermont Studio Program Residency. Recent shows include the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, California, and Elins Eagle-Smith Gallery at 49 Geary in San Francisco, where her work is represented. She also is represented by Erickson Fine Art in Healdsburg, California.
