Michelle Richmond

Michelle Richmond is the author of the New York Times bestseller The Year of Fog (Bantam 2007), which also was a bestseller in Germany and is forthcoming in eight other foreign-language translations; the novels No One You Know (Bantam 2008) and Dream of the Blue Room (MacAdam/Cage 2003); and the story collection The Girl in the Fall-Away Dress (University of Massachusetts Press 2001), which won the Associated Writing Programs Award.

Her stories and essays have appeared in Glimmer Train, Playboy, The Missouri Review, The Kenyon Review, The Mississippi Review, Oxford American, Best American Fantasy 2008, and many other magazines and anthologies.

Michelle holds an MFA from the University of Miami, where she was a James Michener Fellow. Since 2003 she has served on the advisory board of the Christopher Isherwood Foundation. She is currently at work on her fourth novel, which will be published by Bantam in 2010.
