While serving as a teaching fellow at Boston College, Joseph Tanke was twice awarded universitywide recognition for teaching excellence. He specializes in aesthetics and contemporary Continental philosophy, with a special interest in the works of Michel Foucault and Jacques Rancière. He is currently preparing a manuscript devoted to Michel Foucault's writings on the visual arts.
Joseph was recently invited to organize a commemorative session on Jean Baudrillard for the annual meeting of the International Association for Philosophy and Literature, held in Nicosia, Cyprus.
