GRAPH408 Transition to Profnl Practice This course is designed to acquaint students with skills and processes necessary to transition into professional practice. Among the topics covered will be: preparation of a resume and portfolio that contains multiple formats and media, the interview process, review of the design profession and areas of specialization, writing proposals and managing projects. The class will be a combination of lecture and project assignments. Students will complete a resume and portfolio during the class. Two or three visits to Bay Area studios will be scheduled to provide students with a close up view of 'the business of design'. |
