Angie Wang

Angie Wang has been teaching in the Graphic Design Program since 2005. She has taught Typography 3: The Book, created curriculum for the foundational course Typography 1: Form, and cotaught the Summer Study Abroad class Amsterdam: Dutch Utopia with Mark Fox.

Over the last decade Wang has worked with a diverse range of clients in the retail and high-tech sectors. She has developed in-store systems—from packaging and displays to window concepts—for such clients as The Gap, Levi Strauss & Co., and The Nature Company.

Angie also has worked extensively with companies in Silicon Valley to create brand strategies, marketing collateral, and environmental graphics. Her studio, Design is Play, is a creative collaboration with Mark Fox.

Her work has appeared in Graphis Design, California: Graphic Design, PAGE (Germany), and will be included in the forthcoming annual from the Type Directors Club.

Angie has a bachelor of arts in East Asian Languages (magna cum laude), Phi Beta Kappa and a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design (with distinction)
