California College of the Arts was founded in 1907 at the height of the Arts and Crafts movement. Utilizing Paul Renner's original design of the typeface Futura (1927), the monogram's less familiar lowercase "a" signifies the spirit of innovation and experimentation that CCA has celebrated for nearly a century.
