Alexis Ingle Mahrus

Alexis Ingle Mahrus began her career in commercial art. Some of her illustration clients include Jane Magazine, Electronic Arts, APL Limited, Marin Theatre Company, Storefront Political Media, SF Bay Guardian, Peet's Coffee and Tea, Trips Magazine, SF Maritime National Historical Park, Farm Design, California Wild magazine, Pocket Opera, Rossie/Davis Advertising, and Center Repertory Co. of Walnut Creek. Alexis has also worked in graphic design, primarily for the political advertising company Terris, Jaye & Barnes.

In the last few years, much of her work has been murals, drawing from her early studies with the Bay Area trompe l'oeil muralist John Pugh. In 2004, she completed several murals including Antique Irish Tapestries, Bougainvillea Porch, and Movie Posters, all installed in private residences.
