The following are important dates that pertain to the upcoming Pre-College 2013 schedule.
Summer 2013 Program Dates
June 24-July 19
(Housing check-in, June 23. See below for more details.)
Application Submission Begins
January 4
Priority Application Deadline
Postmarked March 11
Applications postmarked on or before March 11 will receive first consideration for program selection and housing. Every effort will be made to place you in your first (or second) studio selection; meeting the priority deadline, however, does not guarantee placement due to class size limitations and the popularity of some studios.
Note: After March 11, 2013, rolling admissions begins, which means applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Scholarship Application Deadline
Postmarked March 22
All scholarship materials are due at this time, including official high school transcripts and necessary deposits.
(Applications postmarked after March 22 will not be considered for scholarships.)
Notification
April 22
For all applicants who met the March 11 priority deadline and the March 22 scholarship deadline, notification of admission, studio selection, housing and scholarship decisions will be mailed.
Tuition Balance Due
Postmarked May 6
The remaining tuition balance is due by May 6 or two weeks after your acceptance date, whichever is later. All necessary supplies are included in the price of tuition. After June 1, any application submitted must include tuition paid in full.
You may pay by check (payable to California College of the Arts), Visa, American Express, Discover or MasterCard. Failure to pay your tuition in full by the deadline could lead to forfeiture of your studio selection and possibly your place in the program. A late fee of $100 will be charged if the balance is not received by the deadline.
Housing Balance Due
Postmarked May 6
The housing fee balance and the damage deposit are due by May 6 or two weeks after your acceptance date, whichever is later. After June 1, any housing request submitted must include housing fee and damage deposit paid in full.
You may pay by check (payable to California College of the Arts), Visa, American Express, Discover or MasterCard. Failure to pay the housing fee in full by the deadline will lead to the forfeiture of your housing reservation.
Check-In Housing
June 23
First Day Orientation (all students)
June 24

Clifton Hall and the Irwin Hall will close at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013. The mandatory Pre-College Closing Ceremony takes place earlier that evening at 4:15 p.m. Parents are encouraged to attend the final ceremony as well as view the open galleries of student work beginning at 3:30 p.m.
