The focus of this course will be on creating narratives and story telling through image, objects, and text in books and handmade paper. Working in a range of formats from the small, personal book to an installation; books and paper can be manipulated as both a surface and substance of significance. Projects with various simple book structures, image-making, writing, and sculpture will be included along with a hybrid of western and Asian papermaking technologies. Open to beginning and advanced students from any discipline.
