Office of Special Programs

The Office of Special Programs offers summer and year-round adult and youth-based programs for the general public, working professionals, practicing artists, CCA students, and students from other colleges.

Summer @ CCA

Summer is the busiest time of year for Special Programs. When much of the college takes a break, we ramp up our offerings for adults and youth with a wide range of noncredit and credit programs.

Our distinctive summer programming for youth (middle school and high school students) allows participants of this age group to explore art and design in a college setting.

Adults

CCA Extension (noncredit)
Summer Session (for credit)
Summer Study Abroad (for credit)
Summer English + Art Studio (international students, for credit)
International Grad Prep Intensive (international students, noncredit)
Professional Development (noncredit)

Youth

Young Artist Studio Program (YASP) (middle school, noncredit)
Summer Atelier (high school, rising sophomore, noncredit)
Pre-College (high school, for credit)
Summer High School English + Design Program (international students, noncredit)

Year-Round

CCA Extension classes provide interested amateurs, working professionals, and practicing artists the opportunity to explore a new discipline or medium or refresh existing art and design skills. Courses are scheduled on both our Oakland and San Francisco campuses.

CCA Extension (noncredit courses for adults, as well as select fall and spring courses for high school students)
