Take the opportunity this summer to study with a visiting artist, explore a new discipline or venue, develop skills, or satisfy a degree requirement or elective.

Course offerings range from one-week, 1-unit workshops to 3-unit courses and are scheduled throughout the summer at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses, as well as abroad.

Tuition

Summer 2009 tuition for on-campus courses is the same as for the preceding academic year: $1,293 per unit.

1-unit course: $1,293
3-unit course: $3,879

Registration fee: $50 (nonrefundable)

Students register for summer courses at the Student Records Office; tuition for summer courses must be paid in full at the time of registration.

Since registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, interested students are encouraged to register early to ensure a place in class. Instructor approval to attend a study abroad course does not constitute registration.

Shuttle

Because of the varied course schedules, shuttle service is not available during the summer.

Refund & Withdrawal Policy

Refunds for on-campus courses are prorated as follows:

Courses meeting for fewer than 14 sessions
100-percent refund prior to first class
70-percent refund prior to second class
No refund after second class

Courses meeting for 14 or more sessions
100-percent refund prior to first class

90-percent refund prior to second class
70-precent refund prior to third class
50-percent refund prior to fourth class
No refund after fourth class:

For a course that meets for 14 or more sessions, students may still withdraw and receive a grade of W after the 3rd class session and prior to the 10th class session. Please note, however, that no refunds are issued after the 4th class session.

Refund Deadline: March 27 (no refunds after this date)

Withdrawal Deadline: May 8

The $50 summer registration fee is nonrefundable.
