In addition to the above, Photography: Color applicants must indicate that they have previously completed the CCA Pre-College Photography: Black & White studio or at least one equivalent semester course of black-and-white photography.

Priority Application Deadline: March 21, 2008. Applications postmarked by March 21, 2008 will be given first consideration for housing and scholarships. Every effort will be made to offer students their first- or second-choice course; however, meeting the priority deadline does not guarantee placement due to class size limitations and the popularity of certain studios. Some students may be assigned to their third selection.
Applications received after March 21 are subject to rolling admissions, which means applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Please call 510.594.3638 if you have questions regarding space availability.
Tuition Balance Deadline: May 9, 2008. A $200 tuition deposit is submitted with the application to the program. The tuition balance of $2,300 is due by May 9 or two weeks after acceptance date (whichever is later). Please note that all necessary supplies are included in the tuition price (approximate value $300). Payment may be made by check (payable to California College of the Arts), Visa, or MasterCard.
Please note that failure to submit the balance of $2,300 by May 9 or two weeks after acceptance date could lead to forfeiture of the studio selection of your choice and possibly your place in the program. A late fee of $100 will be charged if the $2,300 balance is not received by May 9, or two weeks after acceptance date, and if space in the program is still available.

Applicants who meet the March 21 priority deadline will be notified by April 25 of admission, housing, and scholarship decisions.
Please note that housing applicants who reside in communities with access to public transportation to the college, or who have previously been housed in CCA's Pre-College program, receive secondary consideration for housing. Housing notification will be mailed to applicants beginning May 23.
Full tuition and housing refunds (deposit and balance, if submitted) will be issued to anyone who withdraws from the program on or before May 9, less a $75 nonrefundable application fee. No housing refunds will be issued after May 9. An 80 percent tuition refund will be issued to anyone who withdraws from the program on or before June 2, less a $75 nonrefundable application fee. No refunds will be issued after June 2.
Withdrawal notifications must be submitted in writing. The postmark will be honored as the drop date.
In the event that a student is dismissed from the program due to violations of school policies or regulations, no refund will be issued.
