How a Typical Weekday Looks
8 a.m.
Grab breakfast on campus at A2 Café
9 a.m.–noon
Morning class—Photography students head out on a photo-shooting field trip. Fashion Design students hone their drawing skills working from a live model
Noon–1 p.m.
Have lunch and window shop on College Avenue or picnic with friends on the Oakland campus lawn
1–4 p.m.
Afternoon class—After a guest critique, Industrial Design students venture outside to work on their prototypes in the sun. Students in the Sculpture class work collaboratively in the Center Gallery on an installation piece.
4 p.m.
Take a break before a lecture on sustainable design or hop on BART to take in an exhibition in San Francisco
6 p.m.
Go for sushi on College Avenue or cook dinner with friends
7:30 p.m.
Do homework, participate in an open figure-drawing session, or meet with friends for an outdoor movie screening
10 p.m.
Curfew check-in for residential students
